10/27/11 Day 3 Elizabeth City, NC.- NC N36:17.9 W76:13.1 – ICW MM51 Weather: 62-80 degrees, Wind SW 20-25 Hi All! We spent the day playing in Elizabeth City. It was quite windy but warm. We took walks around the historic district…lots of Victorian houses and small shops. The docks are free and they always have someone on the dock to greet you and help you with your boat. On weekdays they have the ROSE BUDDIES who give a meet and greet with wine, beer and a rose for the ladies! I took a picture of one of the historic houses that had purple...

10/26/11 Day 2 –Deep Creek Lock, VA to Elizabeth City, NC. Deep Creek Lock N36:44.9 W76:20.3 Elizabeth City, NC N36:17.9 W76:13.1 Left 8:30 am to go through lock. Arrived 4:30 PM - Miles Traveled 40 - ICW MM51 Weather: 54-74 degrees, Wind SW 10-15 Hi All! We anchored out in front of the Deep Creek Lock last night. Dave/FORTUNATE drove by to see us. Jul 4, 2008 - Happy 4th Of July

WE ALL ARRIVED AT THE FAIRFIELD INN IN ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. DAN AND I ARRIVED FIRST, THEN ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER DAN, MEL AND MICHAEL ARRIVED AFTER DRIVING SINCE 10 PM LAST NIGHT. THEY LOOKED WONDERFUL CONSIDERING THEY DROVE ALL NIGHT. CARRIE, DOUG AND GIRLS ARRIVED SAFE AND SOUND IN NORFOLK AFTER THEIR FLIGHT FROM HELENE. JIM, AMY AND CHILDREN DROVE TO WILLIAMBURG, VA AND THOSE TWO FAMILIES WENT SITESEEING. THE CHILDREN WERE SO HAPPY TO SEE EACH OTHER.
