May 2, 2012 - We're on our way!

Our dream has begun. After frantic last minute additions to the list we finally got it together and pulled away from our home at 11:05 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012. There's a million thoughts that fly through our brains about what if we forgot to do something at the house before we left, etc. Well, wonderful Brian and Marenda are close by and we can call them to do whatever it is that is needed. Oct 23, 2009 - Croppin' in the Clouds

October is one of the best times to be in North Carolina. THe leaves are at their peak and the weather is still mild enough to enjoy it. This week I am having a few girlfriends up from Florida for "Croppin' in the Clouds". We are scrapbooking and eating all weekend with a little sightseeing mixed in. Ernie John and I also drove the Blue Ridge Parkway this week and the trees are at the peak. Jul 4, 2009 - Mt. Air, Burnsville, NC

We drove out of the Keys and did a one day turnaround in Melbourne before driving on to North Carolina (10 hours). We left at night and drove straight through which we never do, but it was fine. The fourth of July is always special at Mt. Air. They capture small town America in a special way there. The flying squirrels are back in our bird feeder this year, and our brother in law Fritz was able to get them to eat out of his hand while he was visiting this month.
