Sep 26, 2011 - Seneca Falls and Wine Country

When I began to prepare this entry I discovered that all the pictures I took today and yesterday had disappeared from the chip in my camera. I have no idea how that happened. John took a few pictures, so we will work with those. Today we drove into Seneca Falls to visit the tourist information center. We found more interesting information that we will ever have time to deal with today. We found lunch at Parker's Grille and Tap House downtown. Sep 21, 2011 - Junius Ponds Campground

Leaned that the GPS devices are far from perfect. We were searching for this park and it took us down a county road. We could see RV park on the other side of the freeway. Sure enough a guy in a huge 5th wheel coming the other way. He said his OnStar took him to the exact wrong place as mine had done. He told me about where he turned around down the road. Nice couple from Alabama. Went To Seneca Lake and ate lunch at Belhurst. Stopped at cheese farm and got some goodies.

Land's RV Trip

Oct 2, 2009 - Waterloo, NY (Finger Lakes Region)

Today we moved on a bit into New York state to the Finger Lakes Region. There are 11 lakes in this region. On our drive here there were fields and fields of vineyards, It was another rainy day. In the northeast it continues to be one of the rainiest years in a long time.

Jun 25, 2008 - Planning for New York

We arrived today at the campground that will be our home for the next month or so. In 2003 we began taking “extended trips” which were 6 months in length (May to November). We quickly realized that this was something we liked to do and could visualize ourselves living in an RV and traveling fulltime. It wasn’t until this year that that dream has become a reality. New York, 2008

Sep 14, 2007 - Travel Day to Waterloo...

A slight change of plans. We decided this morning to drive through New York and come into Vermont in the southern portion & cut up to Maine from there. Two reasons, we want to catch the Finger Lake region in NY & we want to visit Larry's brother Jerry & his family. They live just outside of Albany. The color changes are running a couple of weeks behind as best we can tell so we don't have to rush. We had planned to see Jerry in October but now seems to be perfect.
