We decided to take a side trip through Garrison, NY (where we used to live) on our way to my parents, mainly so we could once again partake of our favorite pizza at Cold Spring Pizza. We were sure met with a surprise when we headed up the Palisades Parkway and there were trees down all along the road, and crews with their trucks hiding just over every rise. Jun 16, 2010 - Lake George RV Park

After a 320 mile drive from Pennsylvania, we have finally arrived in New York. We will be visiting the area for a few days and exploring the Adirondack Mountains. This part of New York is absolutely beautiful. It is also cool enough to need a jacket. We are going to enjoy this light jacket weather. I am adding a few pictures of our camp site and campground. The Goldfinches have found us already. :-)

Sep 20, 2006 - Queensbury NY

We left Portageville NY and pulled into Queensbury NY near Lake George for a one night stop. We just missed hooking up with some friends from our Alpenlite camping group who are staying about 60 miles away in Albany NY. We just couldn't make connections by phone no matter how hard we tried. The rain was heavy again, we hope it will get better. We are between the Adirondack Mtns and the Appalachians in the Hudson River valley traveling on Hwy 87.
