Oct 1, 2010 - Where in the World is Parish, NY

Finally on the road, again, traveling through Pennsylvania and into New York. What beautiful country and the colors are robust and beautiful. Tonight we are camping in Parish, NY, south of Lake Ontario, near Oswego. After we got set up, we took a short walk around the grounds, a very nice campground. However, we had to go to the clubhouse for internet, and it was super slow, so not able to get our blog updated, will try again at our next opportunity. Everything is still very wet from the rain yesterday.

Sep 5, 2008 - ECRA: Bass Lake Resort

Jenni and I have been members here for two years now. We only got to spend a weekend in May last year when our daughter Rachel graduated from Potsdam (see pictures). Last October I got to spend a week here, but alone... very alone! It was not peak season at all! Anyway, this August Jenni and I were able to spend a week and see what things were really like. We had a great time and would recommend ECRA Bass Lake to anyone interested in a great private resort!

Feb 19, 2008 - October trip alone in the New Rig.

In October I (Dave) took a trip alone to Bass Lake Resort in Parish, NY. I went up to work on some papers toward ordination. I spent a week in rainy weather (though you don't see it here), stomping around in the mud. Actually, I spent most of the time in the camper, making sure everything was working properly. Jenni and I only spent a weekend in it prior to this trip. Let me tell you the story of our new outfit: It was a hot summer day. I had just finished putting up camp with the pop-up. I was worn out and crashed in a chair by the fire...
