Sep 14, 2012 - Travel Day - Destination Finger Lakes
Today was a travel day. We packed up and left Gifford Pinchot State Park in Pennsylvania and headed north to New York's Finger Lakes region. We arrived at Sned-Acres Family Campground in Ovid, NY around six o'clock and just got started setting up when it began to rain. So Lee connected the electricity and water and went inside to stay dry. He'll hook up the sewer connection tomorrow. The park has WiFi available at the site so we won't use our satellite for the week which is good because there's a lot of tall trees in the line of sight.

Sep 8, 2010 - Finger Lakes, NY
Leaving Fort Drum, to the begging of kids and grandkids to come back soon, we drove to a small town, near Syracuse, to visit some Rotary friends. We arrived to find they had a great deck, overlooking the lake in their back yard and that's where we spent most of the afternoon and then had dinner. It was such a beautiful setting. They asked is we could stay longer than one night, but we decided we'd better keep moving - it was much too comfortable there and we didn't want to abuse the welcome.
