We didn’t do much except drive today, even though we did not intend to go that far. We stopped just short of Santa Fe having driven about 250 miles which is about our limit nowadays. For those of you in cars I know that doesn’t sound like much, but we usually drive under the speed limit and especially if there is some wind, it can be rather tiring and no way do you want to drive a motorhome if you are tired. Apr 2, 2014 - on the rez

The high winds dwindled when the sun went down, but came back to life as we pulled in the slides and prepared to hit the road. At times the wind was at our back, but it continued to make the drive more challenging than it needed to be. After miles and miles of high desert scrub and virtually empty Indian reservation land, the traffic of Albuquerque was a bit of a shock. Since we want to spend some time in ABQ and in Santa Fe, we decided to camp between the two and were delighted to see a casino campground on the Santa Ana Indian...

May 12, 2013 - A Big Travel Day, Yeah 20 Miles

We departed the Corp of Eng campground at Cochiti Lake this morning because our 2 week limit was up. We traveled a whopping 20 miles south to San Felipe Hollywood Casino and from here we will make up our minds as to what to do next. The casino has RV parking with 50 amp electric for $10 a night but you have to fill your water tank on arrival. It's a good thing we have a 100 gallon fresh water tank and that should last us for several days. - We still have several doctor appointments scheduled and we do like New Mexico and don't mind sticking...
