Friday, 16-May -- Chaco Culture NHP to Red Rock State Park Trip miles: 92 miles Route taken: Chaco Park Road → Hwy 57/Hwy 14/Chaco Canyon Road S → Hwy 9 W → Hwy 371 S → Hwy 66/I-40 W → Red Rock State Park, near Gallup, NM Hwy 57 is a 20 mile dirt road with wicked cattle guard crossings and some washboard surfaces but by not driving faster than 20mph there was no damage done to the car or tires. Jul 24, 2006 - Red Rock State Park - Nature Trail

MONDAY, JULY 24 Daisy got a much-needed bath this morning at the A-1 Truck Wash (I-40 exit 79 in Milan). The cost was very reasonable at $1.00 per foot. While we were at it, I decided to have them polish my rig. They charged only $35.00. It certainly was worth it to me. While they were working on the polish job, I had lunch at the nearby Kiva Café.
