Oct 20, 2009 - Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary
The Wolf Sanctuary was a most interesting tour. It is located about 55 miles from Gallup and is a sanctuary for wolves that have been abused or abandoned by their owners. In many cases, the owners did not realize a wolf is a wild animal and cannot be domesticated. The Sanctuary gets 1 to 7 calls each day from people who want to get rid of the wolf "pets".
