Beautiful but very cold morning. We have been over 6900 feet elevation for nearly 3 weeks and not nearly as cold in the morning. There was a breeze that more than likely made it feel more chilly. Pepper and I had a nice walk.anyway. Bob requested an egg and cheese muffin before he reached in the rig and hopefully was able to pull out the waste tube before it broke. May 15, 2012 - Mesa Verde to Heron Lake NM

Up at 7:00 and went to the Mesa Verde Park Center for free hot showers. Beautiful morning with the sun rising on the mesas. Had our breakfast in the parking lot after buying coffee at the café. Off to Cortez in search of a large bike shop we saw advertised. Arrived before it opened so decided to go on to Farmington that also had a large bike shop. The countryside is just as you would imagine with interesting shaped mesas all over the horizon. Quite desolate in the “four corners” (UT, AZ, CO, NM) Bob did hear from Roadtrek by email that the...
