A church from Midland TX. opened up their week with surprising their youth with the opportunity to set the Guinness Book of Record for longest taco. Danny and Glenn worked on getting the spot lights set up, full time staffer went on zip line over the field to shoot photos, Kitchen staff prepared the fixings, summer staff helped with laying down the aluminum foil, Danny and Glenn ended up being part of the official validation group. May 19, 2014 - Glorieta.20

There have been pipes which burst having water pressure in them after not being used for several years, holes punched into the roof for stabilizing wires for the zip line not plugged the night before a snow fall, digging of mud pit and hitting unknown brick sewer pit. The maintenance group has had their hands full and yet the landscape has changed and the campers are still coming in two weeks. May 13, 2014 - God continues to use this place; Snow

Glorieta was put up for sale 3 years ago and Lifeway could not find a buyer. They contacted Anthony who runs an adventure camp in Tx and was looking for another location for a second camp. He was not looking for something this large. The Lord wants this place to continue bring people to him. Changing the grounds from a conference center to an adventure camp was quite the undertaking. The permits took 6 months longer than anticipated, so there continues to be a lot of scrambling to get things done. They anticipate 15,000 camper to come thru...

May 8, 2014 - Glorieta welcomes us with hail; looking forward to serving

We have arrived at Glorieta, NM, 7,412 ft. The drive from Santa Rosa has been beautiful. Jim meets us at the front building, we complete the required paperwork and he escorts us to our campsite. Home for the next 5 weeks. We get set up, meet Eileen and Glen with whom we will be volunteering with. Then the hail comes, not long and not very big. We are looking forward to serving our Lord here doing what ever this camp may need us to do such that those who come this summer will either come to know Jesus for the first time or grow in their...
