Oct 8, 2010 - Oops!! I missed Thursday
I'm sorry - For some reason I thought yesterday was Wednesday. When we woke up Ron wasn't feeling well. He had vertigo and a "weird" stomach. He wasn't sick - but just didn't feel well. He was also VERY tired. We weren't sure if it was the flu coming back or a reaction to a new medication. So we decided not to move. I made him cut out all caffeine and alcohol and drink lots of water. I also cooked some down home comfort food like chicken and rice, and eggs and toast. I also stopped giving him the meds. After about 36 hours he was his old...

May 27, 2010 - First day on the road for summer 2010
Actually it was a very uneventful day. I left home about 8:50 AM & headed east. At Deming, NM I turned north to Hatch, NM to get to I 25 & then on north on it. I arrived at Bernardo, NM about 5:40PM. It was rainy some on the road & quite windy. Jake & I stopped a few times for a break, but not a big day today. After we got to the Kiva RV park, I took Jake for a walk then after we got back "home" it started to rain! Glad we weren't out side! It's 10PM & I'm going to bed. I'm tired...... All of a sudden the wind has come up STRONG! Kind of...

Oct 16, 2009 - Found a good road & a good park
Hello from Bernardo, NM!!! This is a wonderful little campground (exit 175 on I-25 south) with very friendly camp hosts. He even offered (about 3 different times as he walked by) to help me hook up the electric and water. But I did it meself!!! :P DH did very well driving the 203 miles we did today. I picked a pretty good road - we only had Interstate for about 40 miles and then the rest on two lane US Hwys 54 and 60. We completely eliminated the Albuquerque traffic. There were a few places it was bumpy but nothing like we have had before....

Apr 6, 2009 - Kiva RV Park Bernardo NM
We arose this morning to some pretty gusty winds. There hadn't been any forecast of wind for today as i have kept on top of the forecasts for our travel areas. This is one of my worst fears, that i might have to tow in heavy wind. As i prepared to get ready for departure, the wind kept gusting. Thanks to my daughter Kim, she recommened that i command it to stop in the name of Jesus! I did and after we got out of the area we were in (7 1/2 miles of dusty road) and out of the valley, the wind subsided and it was an easy stress free drive of 3...

Nov 7, 2008 - Bernardo, New Mexico
This morning in Farmington, we woke up to 16 degrees! We had slept at our daughter Kim's last night as we had prepared most of the inside of the fiver to travel. After breakfast, i began doing the remainder of things outside, so we could get on the road. My wonderful son in law Les, as always gave me great assistance. We finally pulled out at 11:20am for our trip to the Kiva RV Park and Horse Motel. Thats right...a horse motel! We had a smooth uneventful trip here. Total travel time was 4 hours and 10 minutes to come the 233 miles. The...

May 27, 2008 - Bernardo, NM
Slow day, took our time, left the Park at 11, took the RV to the race track to park while we checked out more of the area around Ruidoso. Went to Billy the Kid Museum, and then across the parking lot to "The Hubbard Museum of the American West". We then drove back to The Inn of the Gods, very nice in the daylight also. We then decided to head for Albuquerque. We stopped about 60 miles south at Bernardo, Kiva Rv Park(PPA) $11. Next to the freeway-noise!
