Apr 25, 2013 - At the Chili Pepper's Rally in Alto, New Mexico

Just a quick note that we traveled about 200 miles and got into Alto about 3pm. There are 20 Newmar manufactured rigs at this 3 day rally. 18 of the 20 got here a day early like we did. Most came directly form the Arizona Sun Catcher's rally that ended on Tuesday.

Aug 17, 2009 - La Junta with Marganna

Marganna did such a wonderful job of planning the weekend at La Junta Lodge. There were no restaurants there or nearby, so she bought a lot of groceries and printed out some recipes from the web. I helped a little bit with the cooking. It was a lot of fun! We walked the dogs several times (good exercise with the hills). Marganna's 2 dogs are Dakota and Gazelle. Lee brought his dog Willy. We saw lots of deer every day. Just before I left on Monday morning, I took a shot of Adelaide feeding a plum to a deer. They were very tame....

Aug 16, 2009 - Memories

Funerals are a time to reflect on a person's past. I never met Valton Hall, Marganna's father, but I knew him in some sense by knowing his daughter and her children. We went to the Church of the Holy Mount in Ruidoso Saturday afternoon. It was interesting to hear people speak about his life and find myself thinking "that is exactly Marganna." Marganna is as big a nut as I am about taking pictures. We spent Sunday looking at my photos and hers--I couldn't have been happier!! Aug 14, 2009 - Amazing New Mexico

The trip started off badly. I kissed Steve goodbye and proceeded to cry my way down the driveway and through most of Vernon. I've gotten used to being with him!! Then my cell phone lost signal, and it stayed "lost" for the next 2 hours. I was beginning to think that this "Great Adventure" wasn't going to be so great after all.
