Jan 16, 2021 - Tucson
Short last travel day to Tucson/Marana. We began our day by “Zooming” with our Bible Study group. Always a high light of our week. Emily and I like to say we go to the “Jim” (sic gym) every Saturday. . Got here about 3 pm and started settling in. So peaceful out here. Emily walked the labyrinth, Joey chased a roadrunner, and I had a glass of wine. Jeff came and we had a great supper. Tomorrow we will begin assessing and planning the completion of the Tucson house remodel.

Jan 15, 2021 - Lescombes Winery
We are almost at the end of our 2021 trip to Tucson. It has been the easiest trip yet west due to the fact that I left many of our possessions in Wilmington and the RV is easier to pack without the extraneous stuff. We have stayed at really nice campgrounds this trip. Many campgrounds have been closed due to COVID but at this time of year it is easy to find other places to stay. We also stayed for 3 days at two different campgrounds with full hook ups making it easy to cook, take showers, etc. Tonight is our last night on the road and we...

Dec 10, 2020 - Bosque del Apache
For your viewing please here are some photos of the wildlife preserve we visited this week. The other photos are old building in San Antonio, NM at the entrance to the Bosque. The Crystal Palace was an old dance hall, the Train Depot and the local Catholic Church that has been closed up since 2010. A chain link fence surrounds the historic structure that is crumbling and unsafe for occupancy. Enjoy!!! Bob, Judy and Our3dogs

Nov 27, 2020 - Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much turkey. I for one ate just was on my plate and pushed myself away from the table. I started a diet this week and plan to stick to it and loose 30 pounds before summer. Maybe I'll even fit into my blue jeans that I have neatly folded and put away. - Judy and I had planned to travel and stay in our RV this winter in Southern California but this week we decided it was taking too much of a risk to do so. We had a 2 week reservation for Anza-Borrego State Park for over...

Oct 27, 2020 - A snowstorm delay
After leaving Albuquerque, we stopped for a night, Oct 25th, at Elephant Butte RV Park about two hours south along I-25. Nothing worthwhile here for a photo. On October 26th we headed further south to Deming, NM to stay one night free at a winery in town that we have stayed at on previous trips. We belong to a membership club called Harvest Hosts where we can stay free at members wineries, breweries, farms, etc. We have used this membership often during our travels. The plan was to stay one night here and move on to Roper State Park in...

Oct 24, 2020 - A farewell run and breakfast with the BRC
On the last Saturday in Albuquerque, a few of the Breakfast Running Club met with us for breakfast after their normal run. This weeks run was also in the Rio Grande Bosque near Albuquerque's downtown area off Central Ave. The sculptures on on a rock in the parking area. The restaurant is Monica's El Portal on Rio Grande Blvd. just north of Central Ave. Patty & Bill Engleman were there with their grandkids along with Eileen Luchini, Vicki Aragon, Connie Beimer, and Christie & Dave Goy. We ate outdoor on the patio and socially distanced...

Oct 20, 2020 - A walk in the old neighborhood.
Just down the street from our former home on Kachina St NW is access to the Rio Grande Bosque, a riparian area that runs alongside both sides of the river. This time of year the Cottonwood trees, Russian Olives, Salt Cedar (aka.Tamarisk), Honey Locust, and Siberian Elm are all showing their beautiful fall colors. A perfect time for a walk that we did numerous times before we went on the road with the RV. The attached photos are all from this area. There are no additional captions as the beauty speaks for itself.

Oct 10, 2020 - Balloons still flying during pandemic
It's Saturday and as usual the Breakfast Running Club (at least a few of the members) went out for a socially distanced, masks required run. Sue participated. The group ran but did not gather for their usual post run breakfast at a restaurant. This was also the usual time of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. This event was cancelled this year however many of the local balloon pilots and their launch teams did fly. Of course the weather this year during the normal event was absolutely perfect for flying. Most likely all events,...

Oct 6, 2020 - Pinon-nut picking, well we tried anyway
We made a trip out to our friend's, John & Sandi Rogers, home located just east of the Manzano Mountains in Tijeras, NM. J.T Michelson, Lori Candelaria, Lori C.'s uncle Tuddie, Lori & ______ Powdrell were also their for a day of pinon nut picking from the forest of trees on the Rogers' property. It was a good plan but as most things during the pandemic of 2020, the trees did not cooperate in producing their delicious nuts. We did make a valiant effort getting our knee pads and containers out and ventured forth in great hopes of returning...
