Jun 25, 2019 - Four Seasons RV Park

We got an early start because we knew we had 314 miles to cover and that we were going to have heavy traffic in the Baltimore, Delaware and South Jersey areas. The drive started out great. Traffic was moderate, the weather was cool with overcast sun that made driving very comfortable. About twenty miles into the drive we got an engine fault code that read "DPF Pres High". Translated that means the the Diesel Particulant Filter was plugged and the pressure was excessive. We pulled into the next Rest Stop and shut the engine down hoping that...

In about three hours we will be leaving the Four Seasons Campground in Woodstown, New Jersey for the Liberty RV Park in Jersey City, New Jersey. The drive is about 80 miles and I expect it to be a slow drive with heavy traffic because of the Labor Day Holiday. We have been here for a week and the entire week has been filled with visiting family and friends. I have seen some areas of New Jersey I have never seen before as I took different routes several times while commuting between the campground and my home town of Collingswood. New...

2015 New York Trip

Aug 30, 2015 - Pilesgrove, New Jersey

We left the Pumpkin Patch Campground in Herman, Maine around 0800 and we took Interstate 95 and headed south. The weather was cool but the sun was bright and there was no rain. The road was fair with several areas of construction with each area have some nasty bumps. Our driver’s side slide-out is creeping out an inch or so when we are driving on really bumpy roads. It is a creepy feeling to look in the mirror and see a gap forming between the slide-out wall and the motorhome sidewall. I always have visions of the whole slide-out sliding...

Newfoundland 2013

Aug 30, 2013 - Pilesgrove, New Jersey

Wednesday morning Ross drove to Clinton, Massachusetts, about 15 miles from the campground to find a car wash and had the truck washed. The first wash since we left home on June 10th. The truck seems to be about 10 pounds lighter. In the afternoon we drove to Andover, Massachusetts to visit Jack and Diane Ely. Jack is a cousin of Marge’s. They invited us to lunch and what a lunch it was. Lobster is on sale in the area and they had several lobsters for us and a homemade blueberry cake. Jack and Diane’s daughter, Sarah, and Sarah’s two...

Aug 29, 2013 - Woodstown, New Jersey

August 29, 2013 Woodstown, New Jersey It was dark out when we left the campground at 6 am. From the Boston area where we are, we have to travel south to a campground in Woodstown, New Jersey which is about 50 miles southeast of Philadelphia, PA. Ross and Marge will visit Ross’s brother and sister in Collingswood, NJ; while we will continue on to Maryland tomorrow. My GPS had us going through the very congested New York City and over the George Washington Bridge to New Jersey. Ross programmed his to take us around the most congested areas...

Jan 17, 2009 - "On The Road Again"

Hi Family and Friends, Well, we left as planned around 11am on Saturday morning. We listened to ole Willie Nelson's song "On the road again" as we drove out, and sang along. Our first night was spent at the New Jersey Turnpike's rest area. It was like we had never left home...18 degrees, outside the trailer, and about 20 degrees inside. We left the heat on in the trailer (so we thought) but had run out of propane in that tank. After dining out on (Roy Rogers Chicken w/side of fries) we decided to go in, pile on the blankets, and take a...
