The next few days on our trip north revolve around catching up with family. From Cape May we drove to a campground near my sister’s home in New Egypt (also NJ). We had a great time catching up with Janet & her husband Dave – talking about her kids, our kids, and our parents, but mostly we just enjoyed watching her beagle, Molly, and Suzie play. Nov 6, 2011 - Retrieving Otto
The next few entries in the journal will not be long, as we are heading home to Florida and just making overnight stops. I like to document each stop so we know where we stayed and the map shows the right route, so I do each one separately rather than as a whole. But we are ready for some warm weather, letting our knees hang out in our shorts and liberate our toes from shoes & socks and get them into their sandals. So we started out Saturday morning to head to New Jersey from Baltimore, even though it had been raining and blowing since about midnight. Our hope was that we would get there (it was only about a 2 ½ hour drive) before the rain changed to snow. Having to worry about this in October was certainly not in the plan. It was a little hairy driving over the Delaware River Bridge as the winds were pretty strong, but even with a mix of rain and snow once we got into New Jersey we really had no problems and were glad to arrive and not have to look...
