Sep 1, 2010 - Home in Flemington!
We arrived this afternoon around 1 PM EST. We slept in this morning and then hit the road around 10:30 AM. Took abou 2-1/2 hours to reach Flemington. First activity was to go to Panera for lunch and afterwards deload the RV! Our next trip will be the weekend of September 10th-13th attending a family reunion in Chowie, VA.Jump to full entry
Aug 1, 2010 - Our First Day Traveling West
We left Flemington at 11:30 AM on Sunday with an odometer reading of 18,420 miles on the RV. Stayed at a WalMart in Clarion, PA. Picked up all of our groceries at this WalMart since we did not have any time prior to leaving. There were 7 Rvers in the lot with one family from South Jersey going to Yellowstone too. They were celebrating the Dad's 50th Birthday and planning to see a baseball game in Chicago on Aug 2nd.Jump to full entry
Sep 26, 2009 - Enroute to Florida NY
This weekend Charlotte and I decided we would visit The US Military Academy at West Point, NY. We met Gail Inkrote, a longtime friend and Rver, at our home in Flemington NJ to start our short trip to West Point. The drive was about 95 miles and would take about two hours. We scheduled two days at the Black Bear Campgrounds located in Florida, NY. This campground was approximately 45 minutes due West of the USMA (United States Military Academy).Jump to full entry
Aug 30, 2009 - Home at Last!! 30 Days on the Road!!
Home at last! We will try to catch up on our trip documentation this week! We were without internet connections during trip back home. We arrived around 9:30 PM EST and we needed time to relax!!! It was a great trip seeing many places and meeting many friends, family and Rvers! We are ready to do this again as soon as we can!!! Okay as far as overseas flights go this wasn't bad at all. Matter of fact, half of the journey was the best flight I have ever had, mostly to do with getting a free upgrade to business class on the 14 hour overnight Sydney to San Francisco leg. The business class cabin below had only 4 passengers! Do you know the best part about the flight? No queueing to go to the toilet! We got into San Francisco incident-free.
