Sep 11, 2014 - From the Coast to the Mountains

We moved across New Jersey today. Yes, New Jersey does have mountains. They're a pretty worn down part of the Appalachians and that run across the northwest corner of the state. Not much to see along the way as the trip today was mostly on I278 and I78, but it wasn't without some crazy routes picked out by the GPS just before we got to Triplebrook Campground. The GPS seemed to take us around in a circle to get to the campground. Not sure why, but we got here anyway. We stopped at Hotdog Johnny's on NJ 46 in Buttzville. We've been here...

Sep 16, 2011 - Moving Day Again

Since the Newburgh RV Park was about 80 miles from NYC, we moved to Blairstown, New Jersey to have easier access to Ellis Island and to visit friends in New Jersey. So it was a short day with an interesting time driving along narrow New Jersey country roads to the Park. We were still 60 miles from NYC but with easier access because we were not going into the city--only visiting sights in New Jersey.

Feb 2, 2008 - Way Layed

We got off from Blairstown without incident, even though the driveay had som ice. All went well untill we were on I-81 at mile marker 96 in Virginia. We heard something hit under the trailer and I saw a piece of tire tread come out from under the back of the trailer. I thought we had just run over and kicked up the piece of tread from the highway. A few seconds later I saw smoke emitting from under the left side of the trailer. We pulled over on the shoulder immediately. I looked and found we had lost the tread on the left rear trailer...
