Well, the trip is over....some trip facts: We toured 24 states, stayed at 26 KOA campgrounds, had 2 oil changes on the RV and one on the car. Drove over 7500 miles, stopped at over 2 dozen Walmarts (nicest one in Green River, Utah.) Saw a dozen National Parks/Monuments, spellunked in 6 caves, rafted one river. Got hit by one knucklehead in Los Angeles. Met lots of new people across the country (including foreign tourists) saw lots of former NJ friends and family. Gone for 9 weeks, only had about 6 days of rain, never all day long so weather...

Nov 28, 2007 - Day 1 @ No. Reading, MA to Allentown, NJ 38* Pilot West to go South

10:00 a.m. departure with no worries. Cold & sunny. 306 mi. No.Reading to Allentown,NJ. We decided to cross the George Washington Bridge instead of the Tappen Zee. The coastal I95 seemed a better idea than the inland route pulling and braking mountains. In either case, we were afforded the pleasure of aiming our 60 feet of RV, towbar and SUV over the bridge of choice in NY rush hour traffic. We took liberal rest stops to stretch all eight of our legs and relieve Sadie. She loves rest stops to the point we would be leaving without her if she...
