We have avoided hiking in these beautiful mountains because of bugs and overgrown trails. Today it was a little cooler so thought we would try a couple of hikes. Quechee State Park in Vermont has a trail along the rim of Quechee Gorge - a very narrow gorge with a dam/lake at one end and on the other end, the river widens and you can wade or swim - very cold, but wading felt great! Aug 19, 2007 - Paying for Playing in New Hampshire

We have been at this blogging for almost 5 hours now-price we pay for letting it build up. Thank goodness, the wi-fi here at this KOA is really fast. We left Middlebury, Vt. knowing it would be somewhat challenging. Vermont has really kicked our butts however- we feel no shame in admitting that. The Middlebury Gap was the first day since we left California that we had to walk twice that day. 12% climbs will do that to you- and taking several weeks off from any serious riding.
