Our first winter get-a-way, lasted almost 3 months and ended safely yesterday… We met and became friends with a lot of people during our travels, that we’ll keep in touch with them between now and next year’s winter escape, when hopefully we’ll meet up with them again. Our trip ‘officially’ ended mid-afternoon yesterday with our arrival at home in Nashua. The ‘Twins’ we excited to see us and gave us quite a greeting! Shortly after getting home we began unloading the motorhome, of course the twins helped. We’ll finish unpacking everything...

Jan 9, 2013 - Pre-Trip Preparation
We’re getting ready to begin our trip to Silver Springs, Florida for a two month stay. Hopefully leaving winter behind. Speaking of winter, in addition to our normal pre-trip check list, I had to remove snow from the roof of our motorhome and clear a path between the motorhome and the road. Which required a lot of shoveling... Attached are before and after pictures of our motorhome. Our plan to leave early Saturday morning and end our first day of travel in northern Virginia, where we’ll spend the night at Candy Hill Campground. Good news...

Sep 21, 2011 - Nashua New Hampshire
Today is Kerry's birthday, we had a wonderful dinner of BBQd steak and asparagus cooked to perfection by Kerry. Kerry got a gaming mouse, Blueray player, a game for his Playstation 2 and a headband from Canada. We watched Brooke ride her bike without any assistance, she was very proud of that accomplishment. Pa (Michael), before leaving for Canada, tried to help Brooke ride her bike without training wheels, while we were in Canada Sherri & Kerry kept up the training & Voila, Brooke did it…..! Brooke and Sherry received woolen hat and...

Sep 19, 2011 - Nashua, New Hampshire
After returning from our Maritime adventures we stopped in New Hampshire at the Brookside RV Park, a wonderful park in the trees about 10 miles from our Sons and their families. We arrived in time to help celebrate Kerry's birthday. We had a wonderful time visiting with Kerry, Sherri and Brooke as well as with Frank, Pam, Meghan and Alanna. Brooke, who when we left New Hampshire for the Maritimes could not ride her bike by herself, although Pa really tried as well as her mom and dad; she surprised us when we got back, she decided to ride it...

Aug 5, 2011 - Back in the land of cheap gas, groceries, and booze.
On Wednesday late afternoon, we caught the ferry to Nova Scotia at Port aux Basques. Our bunch headed right for the dining room, and feeling the obligation to have some seafood while I was floating in the ocean, ordered the stuffed cod dinner, which was delicious. Hazel, a Newfoundland native ordered chicken. Up there chicken appears to be some kind of exotic and rare food, like a pharaoh enjoying a dish of hummingbird tongues. In all our travels around the island, I never saw a chicken trying to cross the road. For one of our evening meals...

Jun 12, 2011 - Family visiting our home
We invited the kids over for a BBQ at our home, it was a wonderful time, we enjoyed their company. As you can see Frank and Kerry really got into the RV lifestyle - becoming very relaxed...... Reggi fixed steaks, a corn salad, a mushroom casserole and a sweet potato fry dish with onions and green peppers. We all ate to much.

Jun 8, 2011 - Visiting with family
We drove up to Nashua each day to visit with family, it had been a couple of years since we were up in New Hampshire. Brooke needed some help learning to ride a bike so Pa was enlisted to help. Brooke is doing very well and should graduate to a larger bike soon. Brooke really loves Houston, she plays with him all the time and she loves to swim in the pool in the backyard. As part of our participation in an Elks forum (ability to park at Elks Lodges) we visited both the Nashua and Wakefield Elks Lodges.

Jun 4, 2011 - Family BBQ at Kerry & Sherri & Brooke's home
The day after we arrived at Hanscom AFB we traveled to Nashua for a BBQ with Reggi's son and daughter-in-law Kerry & Sherri home and their families. We were treated to wonderfully smoked ribs, pulled pork and other wonderful delicacies. Kerry smoked the ribs, great job and Sherri cooked the pork that was shredded. We ate our fill and then some.

Jul 18, 2008 - Another Nashua Pride Game
Just a quick update. Eryn got to announce a half innings today. The commentator insisted that Ervin (as he tried to call her) was still in high school and a boy because ... get this ... HE played BASEBALL! Aagggh ... the guy was about a million years old, couldn't hear properly but he actually tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about when I was saying SHE! Ez (or should I say Ervin) took it good spirits, but it continues to show what we are up against in the baseballing community! I didn't get a home run ball, but would you...

Jul 17, 2008 - Nashua with Fredy - Part 1 - The bike ride!
I am writing this with Fredy crashed out on the bed next to me, Ellen crashed on the couch in the living room, and Eryn ... possibly doing the same! Yes, a big night last night ... it didn't start out that way ... but aint it always the case!!! Yesterday Eryn, Ellen and I went out on bikes for some lunch, then rode home, i bought some more baseball cleats cos the ones i have hurt my feet (and they were only $50!). Eryn and i had a slight accident on the bikes. She was riding really close to me, and we were in a footpath going up a hill,...

Jul 17, 2008 - Nashua with Fredy - Part 2 - the ball game
We went to see a Nashua Pride game, the Pride are owned by the Stabile's and it's where Fredy works when she isn't going to college or training or taking her Aussie friends site seeing! The game started out well, with lots of home runs over the left field fence, then Ottawa came back and basically smashed the Pride ... doh! Eryn got to rake the infield during the 5th innings break which she was stoked about! We had a few beers, and a lot of fun including meeting Allen Doyle's (pro-golfer)wife, and having her invite us to Georgia to sleep in...
