Climbing Mount Washington Along with riding the Kankamagus Highway during the day yesterday, we decided to take the Mount Washington Auto Drive the following day. Mount Washington is the highest point in the New England states. To get to the top of Mount Washington, there is only one road up and the same road down. It is a one lane road with no guard rails.
