Aug 11, 2011 - Wishes for my friends

Unfortunately we had bad news yesterday regarding our friend, Robert, who traveled with us last summer to Alaska. He fell 14' while trying to trim a tree in his yard and ended up in intensive care Tuesday evening. He fractured many bones in his back, some disks are compressed, but he's ever so fortunate in that there was no apparant damage to the spinal cord or his head. Aug 28, 2009 - White Mountains New Hampshire

Today we drove up to the White Mountains it took us about 3 hours because we didn't want to take any freeways we just drove along windy roads going through rural communities. It was absolutely beautiful we drove past lake after lake and the towns were absolutely unbelievable. Lots of antique places along the way and small little shops which are quite unique. It was well worth the extra time it took us you see going by freeway is only 1 1/4 hrs long vs 3 hrs. We arrived at Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves which is quite a little hike...

We kinda shook our heads because he was a little bit of a grabbie fellow. Anyways we got into our spot and it is quite nice very quiet and...

Up at 5 am to see the sunrise again. No clouds this time and we’re so close, we don’t have to take driving time into account. Last glimpse of Acadia NP before we head out toward New Hampshire. This time the sun rose as a flowing yellow orange ball, lighting up the sky in a pinky-yellow flow. As always, busy sign spotting: The Main Dish above a Curves sign. As we came around a corner in historic old Ellsworth we spotted: “Cock County Eratic Committee.” WHAT?! Then we move a little further and find it really says, “Hancock County Democratic...
