We started our trek to New Hampshire on a rainy morning...leaving the Adirondacks in upstate New York on Monday, Oct. 3rd! Our route took us diagonally through the great state of Vermont, along the White River on highway 4. We were aghast to see the lingering results left by Hurricane Irene! August 28th will not be a day easily forgotten by the locals there! Although some areas have been repaired in the month's plus time since Irene, there is so much still needing attention.
