Yeehar, and welcome to Yerington, Nevada - situated in the traditional country of Paiute people and a fertile valley growing alfalfa, onions, potatoes and garlic, and filled with cows, horses and a few alpacas. This is real 'wild west' country - sweeping plains covered in low scrub surrounded by scenic mountains. The highest mountains are still snow covered, although the snowmelt and a lot of winter rain has caused the Walker River (which flows through Yerington) to rise sharply.
