Jun 29, 2012 - In North Las Vegas
Even my eyeballs felt like they were burning in the 106 degree temps yesterday in Vegas. On Wednesday we were supposed to stay in Carson City, NV after visiting John's son's niche where his cremated remains lie. But, John had a complete meltdown that evening and after much anger, tears, and confusion, he said he couldn't stay in that town nor even eat there and so, we got back in the car and drove nearly another 100 miles before finding a motel in a dinky little town. We really had no idea where we were. Thank the Lord we were safe and the...

May 6, 2012 - Last one from Vegas!
This will be our last update from Las Vegas. We enjoyed our two weeks with family very much. Where did the time go? It seems to fly when we are visiting family. I am adding a few pictures from "Brandon Day" & "Jared Day" at the Olive Garden and Big Dog's and a few miscellaneous ones I didn't put into the other updates. We were so happy to be here when Jared came home from Montana. We had not seen him since last year. We are busy packing today and getting everything ready to roll. We will be leaving in the morning for California. Check...

Apr 24, 2012 - Las Vegas, NV
We had an easy drive today from Lake Havasu to Las Vegas. We arrived around 12:30. Bobby and Liz came in right behind us about 20 minutes later. We are parked side by side at the Clark County Shooting Range. We went out for lunch and then went to visit Jerry & Kim, Betty and the boys. We enjoyed watching Brandon and Cameron jumping on the trampoline and playing ball etc. We all had a great time. Tomorrow we will be going to one of Cameron's ball games, he is an awesome ball player. We are waiting on Wendy to arrive on Friday from North...

Mar 4, 2012 - 240 Miles to North Las Vegas
The usual travel-day happenings this morning with one wonderful exception! Jerry detected earlier this week our water pump was kaput! So, we knew when we first reached Las Vegas, our first stop would be to Camping World to buy a new one. Consequently, he spent some of yesterday reading on-line about what he needed for the installation and fortunately for us this also gave him a chance to learn more about the water pump and voila - we no longer need one! He disconnected our water hose this a.m., pushed the filter button, air escaped, then...

Oct 14, 2011 - Update from Vegas
We have received a lot of messages asking if we are okay. We are doing fine, we still miss Ollie much. Our family has helped us tremendously by keeping us busy as beavers in Vegas. We have been to two shows, Barry Manilow & Gordie Brown. Both were awesome! We have watched many movies with our grandsons. Big Jerry and Little Jerry went fishing, Big Jerry caught a nice Trout. Thanks again for all the notes we have received about Ollie. One of the most appreciated notes came from two of our loyal readers this week. They said they have not...

Sep 14, 2010 - North Las Vegas
Today is Tues Sept 14 – we have arrived in North Las Vegas another 136 miles – man is it hot and only 98 degrees!!!! We’ve heard it’s been in the triple digits several places. I went to take a shirt out from the cupboard above the bed and ALL the clothes are wet from the condensation we were getting in Yellowstone I guess. The temperature outside was still 82 when we went to bed. Turned out to be a low of 70 finally.
