Sep 8, 2009 - From the Badlands to Wyoming

We left the Badlands yesterday and drove South on some pretty deserted roads. Rarely did we see any cars and we drove as much as 100 miles between "towns". We stopped at a little one-block town to eat lunch, and there was only one car on the street a block away. We parked horizontal to the curb and started walking towards the restaurant that had been recommended by our travel book. Before we got there, the local "law" approached us on a 4-wheeler and politely asked us if we would move our motor home off of main street. There were only two...

Hanson's RV trip

Aug 7, 2007 - Riverton to Gordon, NE

We had a great drive from Riverton to Douglas, WY in the morning. (tail winds and cool). Of course, that couldn't last as we went east we got more heat and cross wind. Also, worried about having a motorcyle as a hood ornament. There were hundreds of them on the road going both directions trying to get to Sturgis. We did almost run out of them after leaving Lusk and going on east. We got to Gordon around five p.m. Will have to talk later about the motor home not wanting to start in Chadron but somehow it did. I should have been working on it...
