We had just spent three days in Gering, Nebraska, which is adjacent to the town if Scottsbluff. ... But Robert had grown up in Nebraska and mentioned the Scottsbluff area as being a place of interest, and we thought, ‘why not?’ We originally thought Nebraska would just be flat farmland and prairie, and there was certainly plenty of that. ... But we were pleasantly surprised as we neared Scottsbluff and the hills rose up before us. ... At the Scott’s Bluff Monument you can drive up one of the bluffs to the top which provide awesome views of the whole town of Gering and Scottsbluff, as well as surrounding bluffs and countryside for miles and miles around. ... We pulled out of the campground in Sioux Falls at 8:22 and then stopped at Pomp's Tire getting new valve stems in all the tires. We are now parked at the city park in Plainview, NE. ...
