May 25, 2018 - Wander Woman

Oh the places I've been. The people I've seen. The things I've done. It's a quiet travel time for me right now, so I've decided to go back in time and talk about a previous trip. Let's go back to the Middle East. Egypt. Beer was invented in Egypt. I had one that was supposedly made from the original ancient recipe. Yuck! Definitely not Moose Drool or Cold Smoke (Montana microbrews) or Guinness. This trip coincided with my trip to Israel. I almost didn't go because the fundamentalist Muslims were attacking tourist boats and busses and...

May 14, 2018 - Wander Woman

I'm back! Can't believe it's been over a year since my last entry. Sheesh. Made it to the Flathead Valley with no more incidents. Whew!! That had been a stressful few months. Had a nasty little glitch during the shuttle preseason gig. Was suspended for the rest of the preseason, but didn't lose my regular season shuttle gig. Jul 16, 2017 - Global Warming? Surely, you jest...

Awhile back, I came across a map outlining "a year long road trip for people who want 70 degree weather everyday". Now, I will admit that I may not be the brightest bulb on the block, but hey, I ain't stupid either! I mean, who doesn't want 70 degree weather everyday? Have you been to Oklahoma and Texas during July and August...am I right??? According to the map, in mid-July (my departure timeframe), I should be close to Canada (near Calgary). Um...well, according to my map of all the U.S. states I have visited on the back of Gypsy, I am...

Jun 18, 2017 - West for a Day

We left Libby and drove to West Glacier on US 2. We spent Sunday at the North American RV Park just outside the entrance to the western entrance to Glacier National Park. We stayed here on our last rip through the area. in 2014. After getting settled, we went to Glacier and drove up the Going to the Sun Road as far as we could get. We made it about 15 miles, 5 miles further than the last time. By the sounds of it, the rest of the road to St. Mary will not be open before the end of the month. We stopped at Avalanche Creek Campground and...
