Aug 30, 2014 - Clinton MT – Beavertail Hill State Park

Our adventures took us to Beavertail Hill state park for Labor Day weekend. This is a small park with not much happening unless you want to float the Clark Fork River, which flows beside the campground. There is a horseshoe pit, but I haven’t seen it being used yet. The weather is supposed to be cool (highs in the 60’s) this weekend with a possibility of rain. Hope the weatherman is wrong for the sake of our fellow campers who have to go back to work on Tuesday. Retired at Last!

Aug 4, 2012 - Stage Stop

We stayed in a really neat rv park called Ekstrom Stage Station. It was a restaurant and cabin rental and rv park. It has been in the same family for many years. The previous owners (father to the owner now) tore down local log cabin that were going to be destroyed and brought them to the present site and reassemblied them. The main building which is the office and restaurant was an original stagecoach stop about twenty miles away.
