So good to see them and to hear about their cruises and the fun they have had. Back at the ranch,...

Nov 12, 2019 - Bitter Cold - 9°; Dr visit after surgery

Date: November 12, 2019 Weather: sunny Temperature: start 9º High 26º Wildlife count: Year List: 328 Birds: We enjoyed breakfast at Jimmy’s Egg on the east side of town, then headed for Ozark’s Family Vision. The roads were primarily clear, though H Highway had several areas of black ice. Though the temps did not rise above freezing, the sun removed a lot of the snow and ice. The exam went well, and the eye looks good. Dr. Pierson gave me possible diopter numbers for reading glasses, so I really don’t have to wait till the eye heals to...

Breakfast was at Clocker’s in downtown Branson – what fun and very good. Looking at my Ewan plaid flannel shirt, which is rather worn, we...

Oct 31, 2019 - Bitter cold Halloween day

Date: October 31, 2019 Weather: mostly sunny, very cold Temperature: start 28º High 40º Wildlife count: Year List: 327 Birds: We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing day after the anxiety of waiting all day yesterday, and the drive home. As it was bitterly cold, we drove over to Menards and walked the huge store – all we needed was a box of screws to put our truck shelf together, but the walk was helpful, and John's leg seems to be loosening.
