Jun 10, 2011 - A bike ride at Galloway Station

Lauren took us to a bike trail in Springfield, about a 20 min. drive away. We started out early to avoid the high temps. in the afternoon. It didn't take much to get all set up and on our way. The heavy foliage kept the path quite cool and we enjoyed a light breeze as we rode. Along the way we spotted a cottontail rabbit munching on the vegetation, then a snapping turtle resting in a stream. Further along we came upon a turtle crossing the bike path (not a snapper this time!) It was a day full of teaching opportunities for Lauren to pass...

Jun 6, 2011 - Spending time in Sparta, MO.

What a joy it is for us to spend time with Lauren and Jeremiah and Christian and Faith. Our early years were spent with this young family in hospitals while Christian underwent 3 open heart surgeries to correct a heart defect that was detected when he was only 6 weeks old. Many of you walked this path with us and prayed along with us as we supported Lauren and Jeremiah on their journey. Today they are a vibrant, healthy and happy family, enjoying the simple pleasures that we all take for granted. So, it is with much gratitude that we...
