Jul 5, 2010 - On the way

On Monday we said goodbye to our youngest daughter Rachel and our pet dog Wookie and took off north. We drove for about eight hours to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, spending the night at a Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is basically out in the middle of a corn field, so this was a peaceful night of rest. Today we will head to Hibbing, Minnesota. Last week when we checked the weather forecast, it said sunny every day that we planned on riding on trails. However, now the forecast indicated rain on Wednesday. We will see if this alters our plans...

Bicycling/Tricycling Trip to Northern Minnesota

Jun 28, 2010 - Planning our trip

We are in the planning stages of a bicycling trip to northern Minnesota. We have chosen this location because of a few reasons. One, in 2007 we took a trip to Duluth and along Lake Superior and vowed to return someday. Two, we want to escape the heat of Missouri. Three, after planning the Wedding of our oldest daughter Charity, we want to get away and spend some time together.
