Today we headed to the State Historic Site which is a museum or shrine to Mark Twain. The Museum has the two room cabin where Mark Twain was born inside to preserve it. Here is some information about Mark Twain's birth according to the park website: "With Halley’s Comet clearly visible in the heavens, Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) was born Nov. 30, 1835, in Florida, Mo., in a very small, two-room cabin that is today preserved inside a modern museum. Sep 29, 2007 - We Have Neighbors Again!!!
From Ray Behrens (COE) Campground, near Perry, Missouri, 123 miles NW of St. Louis On Thursday we wandered for +190 miles through several different highways to move ourselves from Knoxville, Iowa to this location. Probably the most interesting part of the trip was a road sign that we saw somewhere along the way & then another identical one just short of arriving here.
