Sep 30, 2008 - One Journey Ends...another one starts
Hi all! Sorry it's been so long, but there has been a bunch of stuff going on in our lives lately. The last time you heard from us we were traveling through Minnesota and hanging out with the Hamms bear. We finished up our travels with Woodall's and drove back to St. Charles to catch up with our family and friends. We decided to stay in O'Fallon, so we parked the bus and bought a small condo and made the move! Alexis also decided that I needed something to do with my time once I finished working on the condo and getting us moved in. I am...

Sep 22, 2007 - Ft. Wayne, IN to O'Fallon, MO ~ 403 miles
Marian & I enjoyed the Genies' hosted breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, orange juice and coffee. We then packed up the coach and SUV onto the trailer and headed for "home" by about 9 AM. We made excellent time until about 5 miles from the MO border in IL. On the way back, we stopped at an RV show at a nearby mall and looked at the newest model class A motor-homes. I brought home some brochures and dreams about upgrading some day to a newer one. Of course, if I bought one, I'd have to sell the house and live in it - they are very expensive. I got my new genealogy software in the mail and installed it. I've imported my old file...

Sep 2, 2007 - Council Bluffs, IA to O'Fallon, MO ~ 400 miles
We got an early start. But I needed to top off the tank and stopped down the street at TA. While I fueled up and washed the windshield, Rita got us some coffee and we were off. The drive south to Kansas City, MO to get on I70 east to O'Fallon, MO was uneventful, just long after yesterday. We stopped at a DQ for lunch and then continued on. When we turned east on I70, the winds had picked up and were blowing south. Fortunately, they were 10 mph or less and weren't hard to steer through (not like yesterday). Traffic on the roads yesterday and...
