Apr 10, 2011 - A Short Stop in Missouri

Two hundred miles and four states in our travels today and we made a one hour lunch stop in a small town on the Mississippi River in Missouri called New Madrid. It was given its name when the Spanish controlled this area. We learned it is pronounced Mad Rid. There were two reasons that we chose to stop in this town and visit the small museum along the banks of the mighty river.
