Mile 3865 We popped up to Martinsville to see Rocky, a friend we know from our Washington, DC days, and to meet his friend Kelly. Missouri is a beautiful state and Rocky's ranch - the Heart Rock Ranch - is a beautiful example of the area. It is about 80-90 miles north-right from Kansas City; just a few miles from the Iowa border. It is really out in the country; there are coyotes in the fields at night and listening to them in the dark howling at the moon was eerie.
