May 22, 2013 - Cheryl's Nursing Student of the Year Award
What a nice occasion ... and I can't think of any student more deserving of the honor than our Cheryl ... but we're NOT prejudiced! She worked many overnights then went straight to school, only to grab a few hours sleep then report for her overnight shift again. She is determined to make life better for her and family and certainly has shown her willingness to walk the talk - or do what she has to do to get the job done. We are so proud of her ... and as she starts a new semester - with 2 more after this one - she will again be called upon...

May 22, 2013 - Kate and Mary's Band concert
We are so pleased Kate and Mary are enthusiastic about band and music. Kate has been in Sr. High band 2 years and just completed 9th grade. She also participates in Drum Line as well as in the marching band. They have taken several awards this year and their director is very good with them ... he encourages them as well as demanding discipline and they give him their attention. Mary appeared to just sit without keeping time to the music with her foot and I asked her about it later. She said she memorizes everyone's part so she knows when...

We certainly do celebrate - Christ first, then family! Cashton was enjoyable to watch ... he didn't quite know what was happening, but loved the time with the bigger kids and of course being outdoors. We always love having our family around...

Oct 19, 2009 - Dogwood Canyon Nature Park
Thanks to my favorite hobby of letterboxing, I learned about a big lodge with cabins, water falls, restaurant, and gift stores. It offers tennis, horseback riding, miniature golf, nature trails, and more. In case you want the vacation with class, it's called Big Cedar Lodge and is about 10 miles south of Branson. After seeing that place, I went on to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park and spent a couple of hours bike riding! I was skeptical about riding, thinking it would be full of hills, but it wasn't bad at all. This park has an asphalt trail...
