(Ron Writing) This morning Elena’s assistant electronic navigator, Penelope, led us through a very nice area of Cape Girardeau to get us on MO-177 north. The streets curved through very hilly terrain among beautiful homes on very large lots – all very neatly landscaped and well kept. Dogwoods, azaleas, tulips, and all sorts of other flowers and blooming trees filled the yards. We drove a short distance north on MO-177 to Trail of Tears State Park.
