Jun 18, 2012 - Eagleville, MO
We left Hermann on the 18th and headed to Eagleville, MO which is in the Northwestern area of Missouri. It is about 8 miles from the Iowa border. It is in corn country. The campground we found, Eagle Ridge RV Park, is a gem. The owners Shelby & Bob are extremely friendly and just can't do enough for you. And not only was there a butter cow, but also a butter Sean Johnson; Iowans are nothing if not loyal to their own! This fair really does defy description. Before we got there we parked in the RV village outside which is an experience in itself. Every year over 10,000 people converge in their travel trailers turning the pastures outside of the fairgrounds into the seventh largest city in Iowa! The fair itself...
