Oct 25, 2010 - Back To McComb, MS

Heading south from Memphis we drove the 300 miles to McComb MS and Percy Quin State Park. This is the park we stayed at in April on our way out west, we have a beautiful site overlooking the lake. The only draw back is no TV reception and the mobile broadband is weak in this area so it is time to catch up on the reading. We will visit with our friends Gus & Ivy while here.

Apr 5, 2010 - McComb, MS

We left Alabama, drove west on I-10 through Mississippi and Louisiana turning north on I-55 reentering Mississippi to McComb. The destination is "Percy Quin State Park", a multi use park on Lake Tangipahoa with cabins, convention center, lodge, golf course and a good campground. State park campgrounds are usually more rustic and have natural recreation facilities on the same or adjacent property. The difference over private campgrounds is they are older and the site hook-ups can sometimes be unable to accommodate larger motorhomes which...

May 22, 2008 - Percy Quin

The trip started on May 15. Everything was moving along fine until we got to Kentwood La on 55 when the warning light lite up on the Jeep. We pulled of to the side of 55 and discovered the water pump went belly up. I called Coach-net for roadside assistant which was provided by the trailer mfg. free for a year. They gave me a choice to be towed to a repair place or thecamground. The wrecker arrived about a hour later and towed us to the campground at Percy Quin.
