Aug 20, 2013 - Travel day - Red Bay, AL to Marion, MS

Up and out of Red Bay, Alabama and Tiffin Service Area. It rained a little this morning but had stopped by the time we needed to go out and get the coach road ready. No rain today makes for good roads ..... we only had 20 miles of a two lane road with no shoulders before we got to a good highway. Arrived at Benchmark Coach & RV Park in Marion, Mississippi - our normal stop from or to Red Bay. Until the next posting ........... Have fun and stay safe! God Bless Ken and Fran

2013 - Here we come

Jun 28, 2012 - Marion, Mississippi

Our time in Marion was another relaxing time. We did a little sightseeing but since we had been in the area before we had seen most of the sights. But the most...

Jun 22, 2012 - Travel day - Marion, Mississippi

Another wonderful day for travel --- no wind, no rain and dry roads. Just a few miles of rough roads in Monroe, Mississippi. We made it to our destination, Benchmark Coach and RV Park in Marion, Mississippi in time for lunch. This is a very good park for big rigs and a lot of Tiffin owners use this park since it is less than 200 miles from Red Bay, Alabama. God bless Ken and Fran

Nothing personal about the area, but it was time to move on to see more roads and towns and let someone else have our parking site in the Tiffin Service Center. Coming to Red Bay is a experience and one we will look forward to each time. Work was great and people was so good to us. Everyone was so nice at Tiffin and also in the town. The town is small and everyone knows everyone, so when they see you they know immediately you are "motorhome people". Of course we ate at some of the local...

Ken and Fran - 2010

Nov 19, 2007 - To Marion, Mississippi

This morning I was on the road by 9:30 CST and drove 234 miles all the way across Alabama. My home for tonight is at the Benchmark RV Park in Marion, MS. It is small and very nice. Most of the sites are pull-throughs with concrete pads, full hookups, cable TV and free WiFi. It is a member of Passport America, which is always a plus. I had a pleasant surprise this evening. A knock at the door brought another Lazy Daze owner, Virginia Cunningham, to get acquainted. She and her husband, Jim, live in Temple, which is about half-way between...
