May 23, 2007 - Still Expunging

10th & last night from J P Coleman State Park, near Iuka, in the NE corner of Mississippi. Here we are almost to the end of our fifth month of living full-time in the bus & we are still expunging supplies that were brought out from our offices, the house or the other vehicles. I guess when you consolidate 2 offices, a full house with 3 bedrooms & 2 ½ baths, 4 vehicles (Vicki's car, my car, the dually truck & the bike) with what we already had stashed here in the bus from ten years or so of owning an RV of some type, you just end-up with a...

We're Wingin' It

May 21, 2007 - Photo Catch-up

The only things that we have done today were to watch the hummingbirds play at the "repaired" feeder (thanks to some electrical tape!!!) & worked on getting photos caught-up for posting, I'll leave you with just these few words & the photos. To explain the re-engineered Brake Buddy: When it senses heavy deceleration caused by the bus braking, it activates an arm extending from the front & attached to the Jeep's brake pedal. The red box braces against the lower portion of the Jeep's seat for leverage as the arm presses onto the brake pedal....

May 15, 2007 - A Clean Lint Filter

Our second night from J. P. Coleman State Park, near Iuka, in the very NE corner of Mississippi. By sitting directly under the stars & crossing my eyes, I was able to get internet access through my Cingular cell card for a very brief few minutes last night....long enough to post the journal entry, but not to review it for editing. This morning I took the laptop to the highest point in the campground parking lot & was able to get a mediocre signal that allowed me to edit. That appears to be the plan for the next several days.....the part...
