Aug 3, 2018 - Hernando Point COE Campground, Arkabutla Lake

We enjoyed a weekend get-a-way with Jim and Terri. Hernando Point Corp of Engineer (COE) campground is 40 miles from Memphis, and makes for an easy tow. It is located at Arkabutla Lake, southwest of Hernando, MS. The campground is well maintained and very clean. It is quite and peaceful. Tracy had a terrible migraine headache Saturday...

Had to have a bean burrito. Weather seemed to clear, so we were off and got to enjoy God's fireworks with finder and...

May 3, 2011 - DeSoto County History

From EZ Daze RV Park – Southaven, MS Forecast for today was for the rain that had been falling almost nonstop for the last 2 days dumping 4 plus inches in the Memphis area to turn to clear, partly cloudy with some sunshine by mid-day. With this late start to our day, we elected to visit nearby Hernando the county seat for DeSoto County, MS and discover its association with the Spanish explorer Hernando DeSoto back in the mid 16th century. Information we had collected on arrival to this area directed us to the DeSoto County Court House that...
