Jul 28, 2012 - 365 mi - Coldwater, MS

Another 'road' day. Stopped at the Mississippi Welcome Center to stretch our legs. Tupelo (Elvis' birthplace) is about 30 mins up the road. Made a quick side trip to Walmart to stock the pantry. Then on to our campground. We arrived at 5:30. Just enough time to set up camp, follow up on a few emails and then spend happy hour poolside.

Apr 26, 2010 - Day 45 - STATE #10 - MISSISSIPPI

Called Progressive Industries, the manufacturer of my EMS, first thing this a.m. They (PHEW!) will send me whatever I need at no cost...but I need another service tech to determine what I need. Progressive guy had me plug the cord in and read the readout on the EMS box. It read 140. He said the surge control should shut it down over 122. I said everyone else in the park is running okay. Apr 12, 2010 - Hattiesburg and Coldwater, MS

The three days we spent in Hattiesburg were very nice, the weather was perfect, the only rain we had was during the first night we were there. It didn’t look like much from the outside but the food was really good, all down-home Southern cooking. The next day we went to the 49 Flea...

It takes a lot of work to get the motorhome loaded with everything that we will need for a 3-4 week trip. We did not get away from home until about 2:30 in the afternoon. We drove to around Senatobia MS and stayed there overnight. Good to be on the road again.

Jun 13, 2008 - Coldwater, Mississippi

Friday, June 13, 2008 During our short stay in Lake Village, Arkansas we saw the Great Wall of Mississippi, Winterville Mounds, Leland Music Murals, and the Birthplace of Kermit the Frog. Early in the morning I took some pictures of the old pecan trees in the Park. It was a nice sunny morning when we left the Pecan Grove RV Park at 9:13 am. It was 81˚. We began our trip on US 65 east. Then we merged onto I-55 North. The temperature went from 91˚ on US 82 to 84˚ when we first drove onto I-55. Soon we were back into Mississippi. When we...
