May 24, 2015 - Prairie Island, Minnesota - Dakota Indian Reservation

Prairie Island, MN – Treasure Island Casino Resort May 22-24, 2015 We went to HWH, the hydraulic jack manufacturer for some “quick” work that turned out, as usual, to not be very “quick”. That said, they were ready for us when we arrived and immediately started to work because “they had a plan”. Because of some concerns voiced by the Spartan chassis folks about the ride height of the coach, HWH, who manufactures the system that controls our ride height, spent a lot of time making sure that the coach was adjusted to meet the chassis...

Sep 20, 2011 - Autumn traveling...

It has been a busy couple of days and now we are back on the road! We spent yesterday and this morning with our friends Paul and Sandy in Saint Paul, MN. Yesterday they graciously opened their home to us and what a fun day it was! After arriving at their house Sandy took me to lunch at Tucci Benucch where we enjoyed some Placido Pinot Grigio, an appetizer of butternut squash ravioli, and a main course of Chopped Chicken Salad (ingredients included: gorgonzola, bacon, tomato, scallion, pasta and mustard vinaigrette…YUM!) We then walked off...

Sep 13, 2011 - Minnesota

Yesterday, we left Wisconsin Dells after having breakfast at Paul Bunyans's in Wisconsin Dells. It is a unique restaurant that serves the food family style. It was very good. We had scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, breakfast potatoes and homemade donuts. The food was great and it was an all you can eat deal. We were very happy we tried it out before we left Wisconsin because they don't have them any where else. We crossed the border into Minnesota that then got on US61 which follows the Mississippi River up to Red Wing. It was a...

Sep 13, 2011 - Treasure Island & Mall of America

Today is another Sunny, beautiful day. The view from our hotel room is really nice. There is a little pond and this afternoon when we got back to our room there must have been at least 100 Canadian geese in and around the pond. Really neat.. This morning we had breakfast in Currents restaurant and then headed out to find the Mall of America. It was a little under an hour away. The Mall is just amazing. It has in it's center an amusement park with at least three roller coaster type rides, a carousel, a ferris wheel and so much more. The...

Sep 12, 2011 - Wisc Dells to Minnesota

Monday, 9/12 - Today was about as close to a ten as a day can get. We started our day with a lumberjack breakfast at Paul Bunyan's in Wisconsin Dells. The decor was rustic, the food was great and our waitress was such a happy bubbly person she just made it all the more enjoyable. As you can see from the before and after pictures, we really enjoyed the food. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the four homemade donuts they brought to the table ahead of the main course. They were to die for. After breakfast we were on our way to Minnesota...
