After Hinckley, we drove south to the town of Waseca, MN. Waseca is a town right in the middle of miles of corn fields which we were told is sold mostly for livestock feed. We knew MN bordered Iowa but neither of us ever thought of it as part of America’s bread basket. While here, we went to the Minneopa State Park to see the falls but, due to the dry conditions, the falls were not as spectacular as they can be in early spring with the snowmelt. Aug 6, 2007 - Leaving NY

Sunday, Aug 5th , 12:30 p.m. - At the moment we are 76 miles from Waseca, MN, home of Ron and Kathy Clayton. We departed Camp Pfister/Gay on Saturday morning shortly before 8:00 a.m. With Big Al's assistance, Dean backed the Big Monster down the long, long driveway just like he had done it a million times before. He is getting so good I am planning to get him a part-time job with the city bus service when we get back to Sarasota.
