Jun 12, 2013 - The Rain have been following us

Ever since we started out trip we have been rained on 80% of the time. It always seemed like we would get to a nice area and by the next day, the rain shows up. Today is no exception. We had a big storm front roll in overnight and on through the morning. The campgrounds were flooded and we were debating on whether to sit it out or make a break for below the storm front. We decided to head out to South Dakota through the storm. It was a very stormy drive but we finally broke through once we made it across the state line.

Jul 12, 2009 - Longest 200 miles

I spent the day on I-94 unexpectedly. I traveled for an hour or so and stopped to eat breakfast, then I stopped at Sauk Centre to visit the Sinclair Lewis Interpretive Center. This rest stop off the highway had a museum telling the story of how Sauk Centre was built, Lewis' childhood there, and then how he wrote his books and became the first American to win the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. On I went to a rest area northwest of Monticello to have lunch. After eating, I made a phone call and looked at the slowed traffic heading southeast....
