Uschi and I had a really good time today with the Sportl & Glasser families. Gary wasn't feeling well so he didn't go on the fishing/grilling adventure. Ken & Kay some friends of Dave & Elaine were nice enough to invite us to go fishing on his pontoon boat. while we didn't catch any fish we really had a fun afternoon. After the lake Ken & Kay invited us to go see their log cabin type house. Even the pictures cannot express how beautiful their house and surrounding yard/land is. Jul 14, 2010 - Sportl Farm

Elaine's church has a program that makes complete meals at lunch for senior citizens twice a month and she volunteer's to help serving the meals. Its a pretty nice deal the folks pay what they can afford for the meal. Today was one of Elaine's days so Uschi went with her to assist. Uschi said it was nice helping until she met the Mean Mess Sgt. But she said she enjoyed talking to the folks. Oct 15, 2008 - Raymond, Minnesota

Heading to Raymond, Minnesota to visit our friends the Sportl's and the Glasser families. Dave Sportl and Gary Glasser were with me in Hawaii and Vietnam 1965-1966. We met Elaine Sportl and Shirley Glasser at our first reunion in Somerset, Kentucky. We will be here today and tomorrow before heading back to homebase with the Jim & Cheryl in Apalachin,NY.We really enjoyed our time here. Dave & Gary were in Hawaii together before the 25th Inf.
