Aug 11, 2019 - Stadium #25-Minnesota Twins

We are now heading to Minneapolis to check another Major League ballpark off the list but since it was a bit of a trek from Racine to that area we stopped overnight in New Lisbon, Wisconsin at a Harvest Host winery, Burr Oak, for a one night stay. Burr Oak is a small winery in the middle of nowhere but the owner couldn’t have been nicer. We did a bit of wine tasting, had some leftovers and watched a beautiful sunset over the vineyards. We stayed at a KOA not too far out of Minneapolis (not bad but extremely dusty), we got one of the last...

Aug 29, 2018 - Leaving the Lakes

We left the Great Lakes shoreline and headed south to the Twin Cities area to visit a couple we met on one of our trips a few years ago. They live just southwest of Minneapolis. Jun 19, 2013 - Mall of America

While Mike had been to the Mall of America before, it was my first stop. While it had the usual mall stores, it had some really interesting stores not found anywhere else. Also, of course it had the amusement park with rides, which is one of its attractions. It was a fun day walking around and taking in the atmosphere. We did managed to stop at the Green Bay Packers shop to do a little shopping, of course!! We also spent an afternoon at Centennial Lakes park. This is a beautiful little parked tucked in the middle of a business district in town

Jul 13, 2008 - 5:30am: The Fly!!!!

I know all of my "FRIENDS" (ha) will enjoy this one. For some reason, the trials and tribulations from our "JOURNEY" get a rise out of a few of you. Well, i should re-phrase that. From ALL OF YOU! So here's a doozy for ya! It's 5:30 am...i am having an incredible dream of the carribean. The warm sun on my face, the crash of the waves and a fly. What? Nope, not in my dream. A flippin fly wakes me up. Not the kind that dive bombs you and flys away. This a-hole was taunting me. Art wakes up. It had flown by him too. Even poor Chester. I could...
